JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a dependable, safety-focused Material Handler – Shipping to join our DeForest Value Center team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who enjoys staying active, working as part of a team, and learning new skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Pick and assemble customer orders from warehouse locations using wearable and voice-to-pick technology
  • Operate powered material handling equipment to move and retrieve products throughout the warehouse; training provided
  • Verify orders for accuracy, completeness, and product condition before shipment
  • Complete basic computer transactions and documentation to keep orders and workflow moving
  • Support additional shipping and warehouse activities as workload and priorities change
  • Follow established safety procedures while working around warehouse equipment and at elevated heights

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A track record of reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a team-first attitude
  • Commitment to following established safety practices
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and use basic computer or tablet systems
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for 6–8 hours per day
  • Comfortable working at heights and learning to operate powered material handling equipment
  • Clear hearing and communication skills for using voice-to-pick technology
  • Willingness to work overtime when business needs require it
