This Utility Operator position works Monday through Friday from 3p to 11:30p, with overtime opportunities.

In this role you will:

  • Provide operational coverage for several complex machines in the manufacturing department, including set up and operation of applicable machinery 
  • Ensure product quality and run rate attainment per the work order  
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
  • Assist in other areas of the Value Center and manufacturing as volume dictates
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem solving initiatives, creating a better work process for everyone

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.  Candidates must also have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment. Functional use of a PC is required. Candidates must be able to stand for the majority of an 8-hour shift, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, and must be available to work overtime. Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English and do simple math.

Accuracy is critical in this role.  As such, you must have the ability to follow directions while emphasizing safety. You must be able to read, speak, and write legibly in English, count accurately, and do simple math. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods of time and you'll need to be capable of twisting, stooping, squatting, reaching and crouching on a regular basis and use proper lifting techniques to lift up to 70 pounds. And you must be able to work overtime when needed.  The ideal candidate will show a strong work ethic and must have a solid work history.
