This role is responsible for:
Identifying new sales opportunities within K-12 school districts and public libraries
Developing furniture and makerspace opportunities, with a secondary focus on the full portfolio of Demco products
Identifying key decision makers and opportunities by leveraging industry insight tools and by cultivating relationships with school leaders (i.e. Superintendent, Principal, Business Manager, Library Director), architects, associations, and education agencies
Developing leads and opportunities that will then be handed off to the Interiors Solutions Team and the Inside Sales Team. The Business Development Representative would continue to provide periodic support and guidance to assist in closing these opportunities.
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or equivalent work experience. Three to five years of proven success within territory is required. Ideal candidates will have strong relationships with the K-12 education markets in the Houston area. Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM required.
