Key Roles & Responsibilities
The Makerspace Solution Consultant is responsible for managing incoming opportunities, prospecting new sales opportunities, and delivering against aggressive sales goals. The target customers are K–12 schools and public libraries, and the primary product focus includes makerspace-related learning materials and furniture. Duties include the following:
Identifying and contacting potential makerspace leads
Completing assessments to determine each customer’s needs
Proposing appropriate products, services, and solutions to address customer needs (including space planning, furniture, or maker products)
Representing Demco makerspace solutions at educational tradeshows, seminars, conferences, and special events
Education & Experience Requirements
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or sales (preferred)
3–5 years of relevant experience (required)
Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM software (required)
Ideal candidates will have prior sales experience within the K–12 education market.
