We are seeking an outgoing, positive, and motivated individual to work in our employee-friendly company that is dedicated to life-long learning and enrichment.  The Software Account Executive will be responsible for driving new sales for the Demco Software solution in the western United States territory, largely from your home office with about 25% travel.  The go-to-market has two elements: 

  1. Cultivate relationships with current and high potential accounts within the assigned territory to identify and nurture new opportunities; and
  2. Acquire new customers through the effective management of opportunities through the sales process. 

The Software Account Executive will serve as a subject matter expert and target key accounts within territory to develop partnerships with, and then match the customers’ needs with the appropriate solution.  Our philosophy is to find solutions for our libraries, not customers for our products.  This position will pre-qualify opportunities and leverage the sales process to best meet the customers’ needs in accordance with their purchasing process. 

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline (Business, Marketing, etc.) and 3–5 years of solution sales experience focused on software solutions.  Ideal candidates will have experience selling in the library and/or education markets.  Successful candidates will be passionate, collaborative, and tenacious with exceptional analytical and communication skills, and strong in their ability to handle multiple projects, to take initiative in a dynamic environment, and to work well under pressure.
