The Software Engineer will serve as a developer in support Demco Software products. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Practicing sound, test-driven coding development procedures and adhering to DevOps requirements for contributing to code repositories 
  • Developing new features, maintaining existing products and executing bug fixes with a high degree of quality  
  • Engaging with other team members in the United States and abroad to conduct code reviews, collaborate on solutions and execute product delivery 
  • Developing and maintaining documentation related to software development, including tutorials, testing and customer manuals 

Successful candidates will have a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, along with entry-level (new grad) to 1+ years of experience. Successful candidates will also have the following:

  • An understanding of code development practices and at least one major language (Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, Objective-C, Javascript)
  • Familiarity with Linux-based platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize basic algorithmic approaches to solve data-processing problems
  • An interest and willingness to learn new frameworks and coding languages as product needs and capabilities evolve
  • Familiarity with agile development processes
